Mission Statement: Murray Sod was established in 2005, with the intention of providing our customers with not only a quality product, but also a different product. The differentiation comes from our soils and that is what seperates us from our competition.

The Murray family has been farming and doing business in the Selbyville Delaware area for several generations. You quite possibly have dealt with Murray Seed, Murray Brothers, Bunting & Murray Construction or one of our other family businesses.

In the summer of 2005 we determined that if we were going to stay progressive and help our community that we needed to diversify our farming operation to keep up with the changing area in which we live. We looked at several operations, and after extensive research and contact with the University of Delaware and the University of Maryland, we decided to begin a turfgrass sod operation on our farm just across the line in Maryland.

The soils on our farm are deep and rich in organic mater, a component which are critical to good turf growth. By growing sod here, we are able to supply our community with a fresh viable sod, grown in soils very similar to your project site. Your new sod can be picked-up at our farm or we can arrange delivery, ensuring it is always fresh and ready to install for a picture perfect turf.
